About Ryan Slaton

Finance and risk leadership
built across the credit cycle.

Ryan founded Greywolf Atlas to give early-stage lenders experienced CFO and CRO leadership at the point when the decisions are consequential but separate full-time executive hires may be premature.

01The person behind the firm

I connect the numbers, the portfolio, and the decision.

I have spent more than 25 years working at the intersection of finance, credit risk, analytics, capital, and enterprise performance inside complex, highly regulated financial institutions.

My work has centered on translating financial results, portfolio signals, economic scenarios, and emerging risks into decisions that executives, boards, and regulators can understand and act on. I have built practical frameworks across forecasting, stress testing, credit performance, capital, governance, and executive reporting.

I created Greywolf Atlas to bring that experience to smaller, growing lenders. Early-stage companies often build product and origination capabilities before they build the finance and risk infrastructure required to scale. I step into that gap as a fractional CFO, fractional CRO, or combined CFO/CRO—working primarily with DFW and remote teams.

The goal is not to import big-company bureaucracy. It is to establish the right discipline, visibility, and leadership for the company's current stage, then grow with the business as its needs become more complex.
